The cornerstone of the SINFONET cluster is the innovation of ferrous and non-ferrous alloy machining processes. The Sinfonet cluster focuses on the foundry process, which, moving from traditional metallurgy, has introduced advanced engineering calculation techniques, innovative systems for the automation of pattern-making operations, handling and casting/injection of liquid alloys, machining of raw castings and intelligent systems for real-time process monitoring. SINFONET's most ambitious goal is to be the pole of excellence that brings together players from metallurgy and related or otherwise connected sectors from a multi-sector and trans-sector perspective. The Regional Innovative Cluster, therefore, intends to coordinate and carry out wide-ranging initiatives aimed at ferrous and non-ferrous alloy foundries and, in general, at metal-mechanical enterprises.
